Important notice: Always check out what you hear and see for yourself, as it is up to you as a Christian to do your own studying. Never take anyone's word alone, including this website here, without first always checking it out for yourself. As 2 Timothy 2:15 says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Genesis 6
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
The word "men" in the Hebrew has the article attached to it, which therefore lets us know this is talking about Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) again, i.e. the man in which CHRIST eventually came through.
2 That the sons of God (see Jude 1:6) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
The sons of GOD mentioned in this verse is referring to the angels (the nephilim, i.e. fallen angels). Fair = beautiful. These are the ones who instead of being born of woman (see John 3:3), chose to come to earth, without GOD's permission, and seduce the daughters of Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) and Eve. Again, the whole reason they did this is because they were doing the works of satan, in attempt to prevent CHRIST from being born.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Again, this word "man" in the Hebrew, has the article attached to it which lets us know this is still talking about the individual man Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm). This word "also" includes him ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) too. "Is flesh" if taken as a verb, means in their erring (shâgag in the Hebrew). This lets us know that Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) had become like the others and corrupted his way. The 120 years mentioned here is what fixes the date A.M. (Anno Mundi) 930-120=810. In Genesis 2:17, GOD declared that Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) should die. Here in chapter 6, it was made clear that even though he had already lived 810 years, he was surely going to die 120 years later [810 + 120 = 930]; and that his breath (spirit of life from GOD), should not always remain in his flesh body. Therefore this fixes the chronology of this verse and lets us know that even before Enoch (the 7th from 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm), the irruption of the fallen angels (the nephilim) had already occurred; This is what Enoch preached about and GOD was very happy with him. See Jude 1:14.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
This word "giants" in the Hebrew is nᵉphîyl and it comes from nâphal, which means to fall, in a great variety of applications. So again, this is talking about the fallen angels who left their first place of habitation to join satan's plan, by coming to earth, in attempt to prevent CHRIST from being born. The reason these fallen angels were able to have children (gibbôwr) with the daughters of Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) and Eve is because we (flesh) were made in the same image as they were, the only difference is they (the fallen angels) were still in their spiritual bodies, having all the knowledge from the first world age, while the daughters of Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) and Eve were in their flesh bodies, already born innocent of woman.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
This wickedness didn't just start happening in this 6th chapter of Genesis but instead all the way back to the start of Cain's seed. Again, this is what Enoch (the 7th from 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) preached about and GOD was very pleased with him.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
As we can see, GOD was very upset with flesh man because here HE has planned for the coming of CHRIST, whereby that perfect sacrifice could be made, that would save mankind, and yet only one family (Noah's family) at this time out of all Eve's offspring remained perfect (pure); perfect as in not being led in by the fallen angels and not letting them seduce them and disrupt the seedline.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
This will fall into place exactly as it is written, when we transform into spiritual bodies at the 7th trumpet. GOD did not design our flesh bodies to live forever and it's a good thing HE didn't. Would you really want to live in your flesh body forever? Of course not. See also 1 Corinthians 15:52, Isaiah 11.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Noah found grace because only his family remained with a perfect seedline by which CHRIST could come through.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Perfect is tâmîym in the Hebrew, and it means without blemish as to breed or pedigree. Noah did exactly as GOD wanted him to; he chose a wife that had not intermixed with the fallen angels.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Again, these names are in reverse order from youngest to oldest.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
This is what happens when people listen to satan and allow him to have control in their lives.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
All but Noah's family was corrupted.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
In other words, GOD is going to destroy these wicked ones from the earth (ʼerets).
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch (compare to Revelation 12 with the flood of lies) it within and without with pitch.
This word "pitch" is kâphar in the Hebrew, and it means to coat. It is also the only word in the Hebrew used for atonement. Just as these fallen angels caused destruction in the days of Noah, seducing the daughters of Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) and Eve and causing giants to be born, so will it happen again spiritually in these end times, when satan and his angels are cast out of heaven to the earth (see Revelation 12:7); when many will worship satan, thinking he is Jesus because they don't have the SEAL of GOD in their minds.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
According to some scholars, one cubit ranges from 17.5 inches to about 25 inches (sacredly). Just know that this ark was very large.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
Notice there were three stories to this ark. Here we can see a use of symbolism when you think about the three world ages and the GODhead (FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT), and also the three floods (the Katabole, Noah's Flood, and satan's flood of lies in the end). Spiritually, there is often three levels of teaching in our FATHER's WORD.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Our FATHER makes it very emphatic here.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
Again, all of Noah's family had perfect pedigrees because none of them were hybrids; they were adamic who had not been taken in by the fallen angels (the nephilim).
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Flesh (bâsâr) doesn't just apply to animals, it applies to people as well. Notice from the last few verses that GOD said HE was going to destroy all flesh from the earth. The word earth in the Hebrew is ʼerets and it can mean the entire earth, or part of a land. As we can see though, the whole reason GOD is sending this flood in the first place is to wipe away the wickedness from those who had intermixed with these fallen angels (nephilim). So with that being said, regardless of what is commonly taught today, GOD most likely did not flood the entire earth because there would have been no reason for it. We see that the fallen angels were specifically after the daughter's of Adam ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) and Eve because that was the genealogy that CHRIST eventually came through. Remember, most of the adamic race had become corrupt and gibbôwr were the result of it. Fallen angels (nephilim) were taking over and GOD knew that if HE didn't wipe them out, then they would eventually corrupt all of the adamic race and HIS birth would have never taken place. So whether you believe the flood was worldwide or not, that's up to you. One thing for sure though is the kenites survived the flood (1 Chronicles 2:55), as well as all the other races of today's world if you look around, that GOD created on the sixth day (Genesis 1:26), and the only way they could have survived the flood was to be on the ark, or either the flood was not world wide, which most likely it wasn't.
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
GOD always plans ahead, therefore we should always plan ahead. When the next influx of fallen angels appear at the 6th trumpet with satan, will you be prepared? Do you have the SEAL of GOD in your mind in order to distinguish and stand against? Hopefully you do because CHRIST warned us of this. It's written over and over all throughout HIS WORD, the order of events that is to occur in this final generation. The question is, will you be ready? See also "A Warning Against The Rapture".
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Those who obey GOD, receive HIS blessings. More information on the flood in the next chapter.
