Important notice: Always check out what you hear and see for yourself, as it is up to you as a Christian to do your own studying. Never take anyone's word alone, including this website here, without first always checking it out for yourself. As 2 Timothy 2:15 says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Exodus 7
1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
In other words, Moses is going to be a representative of GOD as it will be GOD who will give him the words to say, and Aaron is going to help be his spokesman.
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
Again, the reason for this hardening is so that GOD can perform all HIS signs and wonders to these people, whereby many in this land who are caught up in idolatry, will perhaps come out and turn to HIM.
4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
6 And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
And so it was. Moses finally quit questioning and allowed GOD to use him. Whenever GOD calls you to do something, don't hesitate; trust and rely on HIM as HE will never let you down. It's better to stand with GOD and be judged by the world than it is to stand with the world and be judged by GOD.
7 And Moses was fourscore (= 80) years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old (= 83), when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent (tannîyn in the Hebrew).
In Exodus 4:3 when Moses' rod became a serpent, the word "serpent" was "nâchâsh" in Hebrew but here we can see this word serpent is "tannîyn" in the Hebrew which means dragon, that also refers to a serpent, and remember "dragon" is another name used for satan in Revelation 12:9. This is also the same word used in Isaiah 27:1 "In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword (see Revelation 1:16, Revelation 19) shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent (nâchâsh), even leviathan that crooked serpent (nâchâsh); and he shall slay the dragon (tannîyn) that is in the sea (symbolic of peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues [Revelation 17:15])." and so it is, we can see within this book of Exodus, these symbols and names ("serpent" & "dragon") that are used here, foreshadow the events to come in these end times, when satan plays the role of antichrist and he's disguised as the savior of the world, deceiving the whole world except for GOD's Elect (those specifically chosen from the first world age, who stood against satan). Keep in mind in these first fifteen chapters of Exodus, Egypt symbolizes bondage, and once satan appears as the false messiah in these end times, the whole world will go into bondage as his one world system is set up. Note that tannîyn is also the word used for "whales" in Genesis 1, and just as they came into existence on the fifth day of creation, so will satan be cast down from Heaven unto the earth at the fifth trumpet (Revelation 9).
10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent (tannîyn in the Hebrew).
11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
In other words, they appeared to make their rods do the same thing as Aaron's rod.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents (tannîyn in the Hebrew): but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
And so shall it be in the end, when GOD puts an end to all witchcraft, sorcerers, evil spirits, and satan. All evilness will be consumed up like smoke from within in the lake of fire (eternal death).
13 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink (i.e. the bank of the Nile river) against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16 And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17 Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
Remember as it's written in 1 Corinthians 10:11, all these things have happened as types and examples for us living today. Though these were literal signs and wonders at this time, in these end times the waters symbolize peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues (Revelation 17:15) and spiritually speaking, they will all be turned into blood (Revelation 16:3) which is symbolic of their spiritual death, as satan's one world beast system will cause all but GOD's Elect (Revelation 13:8) to be deceived and die spiritually, as they will mistake satan (the antichrist) and his system as the savior of these end times, giving up their faith in our TRUE CHRIST for satan's cheap imitation of CHRIST.
18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
And so it will be in these end times as again, all waters (peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues [Revelation 17:15]) will be deceived by satan and turned into blood (spiritually speaking, symbolizing their spiritual death); all except for GOD's Elect (those chosen specifically from the foundations of the world [Revelation 13:8]).
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.
And once again, the magicians (representatives of satan here) appeared to do the same thing and remember everything GOD does, satan tries to copy, which is why he (satan) comes disguised as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) and disguised as the savior of these end times (2 Thessalonians 2) because ever since the first world age, he has wanted to be like GOD and has wanted people to worship him, which is why all those who are not sealed with the SEAL of GOD, will receive the mark of the beast (satan).
23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.
And so it is today with many people as many have eyes but do not see and have ears but cannot hear. Just as GOD hardened the heart of the Pharaoh here whereby HE could perform all HIS signs and wonders to these people, so will he bring upon that strong delusion (2 Thessalonians 2:11) amongst those who did not care to study to shew themselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15) in these end times, whereby it will be for their own protection from committing the unpardonable sin, which is only possible for one of GOD's Elect to commit, which isn't likely to happen.
24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 And seven (symbolic of spiritual completeness) days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.
Compare to the seven angels and plagues of Revelation 16.
