Important notice: Always check out what you hear and see for yourself, as it is up to you as a Christian to do your own studying. Never take anyone's word alone, including this website here, without first always checking it out for yourself. As 2 Timothy 2:15 says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Exodus 9
1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain (= pestilence).
Here we see the fifth plague. Think about how this is reoccurring today as our animals are being genetically modified, pumped up with steroids and all kinds of pesticides to make them grow bigger and grow quicker. Not only that but a huge portion of our food today including "meat" products are fake and as result, numerous of people are getting sick with all sorts of diseases and then they have the evil mindset to blame GOD. Overall spiritually though, we see this reoccurring today through false doctrines and the traditions of men which make void the WORD of GOD (Mark 7:13); therefore the majority of people lack spiritual meat (in-depth TRUTH) and will die spiritually with the famine of these end times (Amos 8:11), when the whole world (except for GOD's elect) is deceived into following and worshiping satan and his beast system (Revelation 13:8).
4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
Again, GOD always takes care of HIS own. How close are you walking with HIM today?
7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
If you look around, you can see this happening again spiritually today as many people are angry with GOD; willing to curse HIM every chance they get but never once do they call out to HIM in forgiveness, repentance, and help. They are so sore (spiritually speaking) from head to toe to where they cannot stand before GOD. It is due to their vile spiritual condition of guilt, fear, and cowardice; they are covered in worry, fear, and as result, they let it out upon GOD's people through persecution. We aren't to worry though because their time will soon run out and GOD is forever by our side. In this, we also see a foreshadowing of Revelation 16 of what is to also come in these end times, as those who receive the mark of the beast will die spiritually. Revelation 16:2 says "And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image".
12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
13 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
We will see this also reoccur today too spiritually, as the people (trees) that refuse to repent will be taken out. The crops (deceitful pastors/teachers and sermons) which were supposed to feed the people, will be destroyed, along with all their livestock (meat; corrupted truth, false teachings) because they refuse to teach the TRUTH of GOD's WORD and refuse correction, robbing GOD's people. Not only do we see this seventh plague reoccurring in that way today but GOD will also send great fire, hail, and brimstones at the battle of Hamon-gog which will occur at the end of this second world age (flesh age). See also: Revelation 8:7, Ezekiel 38:21-23, and for more verses describing people as trees, see Matthew 7:15-20, Mark 8:22-24, Jeremiah 17:7-8, Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 52:8.
24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
The Pharaoh is starting to come to his senses as he realizes that all these things are coming upon him and his people because they refuse to listen to ALMIGHTY GOD. Though he cries out for help during the trouble, we will see him yet more turn back to his same old stubborn ways along with many of his people.
28 Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
GOD is always fair and HE is righteous. HE gave the Pharaoh and these people warning of the things that would befall upon them if they refused to listen, and refused to turn from their wickedness, and unfortunately a lot of them didn't listen. The same exact thing as you know still occurs today. GOD gives us HIS WORD (tomorrow's newspaper) as HE has foretold us all things (Mark 13:23) and sadly so many claim to be "Christians" and people choose to listen and tune themselves in to the ways and wickedness of this world. Many choose to take pleasure and comfort in lies because the TRUTH offends them. You either stand with GOD or your stand with the world (satan) but you sure can't do both. 1 John 2:15 says "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.", which is exactly why we must set our minds on things above (CHRIST), not on things of the earth (worldliness [Colossians 3:2]). Anything the world promotes, including holidays (i.e. New Years, Valentines, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc. [paganism]), politics (choosing masters, voting [vowing/praying] to false political gods), pride movements, etc., CHRISTians should stay away from because we understand that GOD sets up kings and kingdoms (Daniel 2:21) and that we're to be set apart as our kingdom is not of this world. "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world (1 John 2:16)". "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4)". We're not called to fit in but instead to stand out. Be strong, focus on GOD, and be self-disciplined. If you want GOD's blessings, keep HIS commandments. If you want curses, follow the world.
29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD'S.
30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
Compare to Matthew 13:30. See also: "The Parable of The Sower and Tares".
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
Compare to Revelation 16:17-21.
35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
Though GOD hardened the Pharaoh's heart to some extent, the Pharaoh in general was just a very stubborn and deceitful person along with many of the other Egyptians living in the land at this time. Some people just don't learn and just as a dog returns to its vomit, so fools return to their folly (Proverbs 26:11), and we see that happen all the time to this very day, concerning many different things.
2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
