Important notice: Always check out what you hear and see for yourself, as it is up to you as a Christian to do your own studying. Never take anyone's word alone, including this website here, without first always checking it out for yourself. As 2 Timothy 2:15 says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Genesis 2
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host (tsâbâ) of them.
Again, this is talking about the heavens and the earth which are of now; this second world age (flesh age). This word "host" is talking about us as the children of GOD. It lets us know that all souls (children of GOD) were ready for this second world age (flesh age), if they so choose to be born. See John 3:3 and 2 Peter 3:7.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
GOD sanctified the seventh day to benefit us as mankind.
4 These are the generations (tôwlᵉdâh) of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
This word "generations" is talking about the history of the earth and the events that came along with it; the history of the first world age and the history of this second world age of now (flesh age). Again, you can visit our study "Three World Ages/satan's Downfall" for more information.
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
As we read in the last chapter in verse 26 and 27, GOD created mankind, both men and women of all races. GOD created them to be hunters and fishers. HE didn't specifically design them to be tillers like the man 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm you are soon about to see formed down below in verse 7; the man in which CHRIST would eventually come through. So don't let the words "there was not a man..." written in this verse throw you off into thinking that there were no people at this time, because as it's documented in the last chapter, there were. Again, GOD created the people in the last chapter to be hunters and fishers, not specifically husbandmen (tillers) like the man you are soon about to see below.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
If you look into the Hebrew, you will see in this verse that the word man (אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֗ם) has the particle ('eth) and the article ('Hâ) attached to it, which lets us know that it is very emphatic, unlike the word man (אָדָ֛ם) written in the last chapter (Genesis 1:26). The reason for that is because this is the particular man ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) in which JESUS CHRIST would eventually come through. This is what GOD meant when HE included HIMself in Genesis 1:27. That is why you will also see אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֗ם ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) written in verse 27 of that last chapter because again this is the man in which JESUS CHRIST (GOD in the flesh) would eventually come through. Here GOD formed this particular man from the dust, as a potter. Notice it didn't say created. If you look up the words "formed" (yâtsar) and "created" (bârâ) in a Hebrew dictionary, you will see a difference.
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Pay real close attention to these two trees mentioned here. The TREE of LIFE is describing GOD, while the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is describing satan. We will see more between these two going into the next chapter, and as we were already given from the first chapter, solar describes GOD (light), while moons-nights describes satan (darkness). As we know from the first world age, satan can be both good and evil. Everything satan was given in the first world age was given to him because at some point he earned it, it was then when he decided to go against GOD, and wanted to be GOD, that evil was found in him. Instead of satan guarding the mercy seat of CHRIST, he wanted to sit on it and lead a third of GOD's children away from GOD, into following him. See also Ezekiel 28.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Again, this is the man 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm in which JESUS CHRIST eventually came through.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Notice that GOD gave 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm permission to partake of any tree of the garden; that included all the fruit trees that GOD had blessed him with by which he could eat from and take care of, along with the TREE of LIFE (GOD) in which he could partake of righteousness. The only tree he was specifically told not to partake from was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (satan). He was told that if he partook of him (satan), that he would surely die. This is also the first law commanded by GOD. As we go throughout the Bible, we will begin to see how much the beginning (Genesis) fits in with the end (Revelation). After all, the book of Genesis is our foundation for what is to come throughout the rest of our FATHER's WORD. Here 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm is given the option to choose between LIFE (GOD) and death (satan). Below we will see what his choice is.
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Here we are again provided with more evidence that this is a different man talked about here in this chapter compared to the man (mankind) created in the last chapter. Notice that in the last chapter (Genesis 1:26 & 1:27) male and female were created at the same time, but in this chapter GOD formed first male ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm) and then female (Eve), from 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm's rib (curve, perhaps DNA), as we will see below in verse 22. Also, the animals in chapter 1 were created before man (mankind), while the animals in this chapter were created after man ('eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm).
19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Here GOD has provided 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm with domesticated animals that can be used to help him farm.
20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
In the Hebrew, this word "ribs" means curve. Perhaps GOD made Eve out of the curve of 'eth-'Hâ'Âdhâm's double helix (DNA) and took the feminine part (X) of the DNA to make Eve.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Notice here that they were both naked and were not ashamed. That is because at this time they had not yet partaken of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (satan).
Again, this is talking about the heavens and the earth which are of now; this second world age (flesh age). This word "host" is talking about us as the children of GOD.
